Laser World Qualifiers – this weekend 15/16 March – help needed

Following weeks of preparation this event is nearly upon us. This will be one of the largest open events PBSC has hosted for a number of years (150 boats expected) and to ensure the event runs smoothly we’d be grateful for as much help over the weekend as you can provide. We’ll need help on the beach, car park, bar/ clubhouse. Thanks to all those who have signed up already and we’ll be in contact directly but for those of you who have not please just turn up at the club on either or both days. Current duty allocation can be found here. We’ll need help from 9am through to 5pm on both days. Racing starts 12.00 Saturday and 10.00 Sunday three races of c 1 hr back to back. An event like this helps both the club’s finances and reputation and additionally should be spectacular to watch – bring your cameras and send your best shots to me – we’ll be publicising the event locally.  There is a briefing from the UK Laser Assn Race officer Friday night 19.30 at the clubhouse  (all welcome – bar will be open!) and a Safety briefing 10am Saturday morning at the clubhouse for competitors and members alike.  If you want to compete you can still do so – no late entry fees for PBSC members (click here). Many thanks.  Adrian Peckham  sailingsecretary@pbsc.eu
