Cadet Class Association open meeting 23/24th April 2022 (updated)

Cadet Class association open meeting 23/24th April

We have approximately 30-35 two handed Cadet Class boats, plus 5 supporting ribs coming for a two day open Sat/ Sunday meeting in 6 weeks. This means 60 children and at least 60 adults so a busy weekend and the opportunity for Pevensey Bay Sailing Club to again showcase its open meeting credentials, after the success of the ILCA (Laser) masters nationals last year. We will busy from 8.30 am both days (races start 11.00 Sat/ 10.30 Sunday) with 3x 45 mins races each day. As usual we are seeking volunteers to support on the beach ( in wet gear) / car park (nice yellow jackets provided), food service , safety and committee boats. Tina Holttum will kindly be doing the catering again with all profits generously donated to the club but would welcome support in and around the galley and cakes to be baked to sell. Gordon Bishop will be leading the safety boat organisation, Dick Holttum will be deputy race officer (the Cadets bring their own race officer) and Dave Boniface will be helming the committee boat Wild Goose and I will be overall event manager.  If you can help drop me an email adrian.peckhampbsc@gmail with the dates times you can be available.  Also hoping to see a good turn out from the Pevensey Bay Cadet class sailors who have been impressively training all winter at Piddinghoe (Seaford)

Thank you
